Things have been queuing up to piss me off in meat space today.

• Starbucks was full of upper middle class women and their revolting Gap-clad offspring. "Jessica... Jessica... stop running about. Jessica..."


• UG said he'd pick me up at 3.30. At 4pm I called to tell him I'd been standing in the rain for half an hour, and he was still at home and wearing a towel (we live 20 minutes away)


• Despite being the only customer in Subway, I had to give my order four times to three members of staff before they managed to make it. Seriously, how hard is to make a 6 inch meatball marinara on honey oat bread, hold the cheese? I have worked in takeaways and as a waitress, and I can tell you from experience that is not a difficult order.

Well, I thought about just letting it go, but I couldn't. I just renewed my web hosting with Servage. They may have pissed me off with their asshatish behaviour during the 3TB bandwidth debacle, and their cpanel is crap, but they're still the best web host I've come across.

Big mistake. The stuff is vile. I thought mixers might help, but no. I just waved it lightly over a glass of cranberry juice and the juice magically turned into Toilet Duck.

The daughter of one of the receptionists at work has a suspected case, but it hasn't been confirmed. She was in the office last week and I spoke to her. OMG, I'M GONNA DIE!!!

Last night I was amusing myself by thinking of a story where Mikey and Alicia start giving out snuggies as gifts. See, because I like to think they have their own and sit around in them at nights. Like, when it's in the early hours and they're watching infomercials, Piggie asleep at their side and it's all domestic and quiet, so different to their daytime lives, and Mikey's texting Gerard, because Gerard's up with Lindsey and Bandit, just watching them and he's at that stage you get with a young baby, bone tired but happy still and Alicia reading over Mikey's shoulder and is like, we should get them snuggies, not that it's cold in LA but everyone needs a blanket, especially a blanket with arms.

Then it just takes off, they get one for Frank and he hacks a few inches off the bottom because he kept walking in his and tripping over, and Bob, who never actually wears it when anyone can see but it still gets all soft with wear and washing, and Pete, who gets the zebra print pattern, because they both know Pete's someone that can always use a blanket hug and soon everyone in bandom has one. Ryan opening a package one day and he doesn't even know Mikey and Alicia, not really, but there's a note saying, keep your head up. Ryan wears his with beads and a matching leopard print hat, and Brendon uses his like a cape until no one's watching then he turns it around the right way and cuddles in.

I don't even know, man. It keeps me occupied anyway.

I got up to some lovely comments about the story I posted yesterday, which was a fantastic surprise. At least I can talk about it now, I'm not used to writing away on my own, and keeping a secret from someone you pretty much talk to daily isn't easy. All I can say is, thank goodness for sperrywink She listens to every insane idea I have, endlessly encourages me and replies thoughtfully when I shoot off emails such as, *insert list of characters here* Who goes on the rescue mission? Huge amounts of love to her, and themoononastick who came through for me big time.

Still on the theme of writing, cliche_bingo. I've seen a few people do this now so I'm following their leads because I'm a big old lemming. Behind the cut is my cliche_bingo card and I'd love if you could give me prompts. Bandom only, sorry. I don't promise to write them, but I will consider them for sure, otherwise I'll end up with a whole card full of Mikey/Frank, Mikey/Pete, Mikey/Frank/Pete, which is awesome, don't get me wrong, but I should try and branch out sometimes. This way I can look at the prompts, consider them, and write Mikey/Frank anyway.

I'm giving myself a cap of a few thousand words for these otherwise I'll never finish, and the secrets and lies prompt is already taken. Other than that, anything goes, including variations of Mikey, Pete and Frank.

Mikey made himself Piggy Bucks. How is he even real?

Kerrang is playing Avenged Sevenfold vs Guns N' Roses at the moment. November Rain is at number two, which makes me wonder what Avenged song can beat NR. Ha, Kerrang have pulled a fast one, they've alternated bands from #20 but at #1 is Knocking on Heaven's Door.

We're off out with nanna and her friend later. Nanna's friend, Vi, is such a lovely woman and I enjoy seeing her. She's the one who, when she was up last time and it started showering went back to the car, got my coat and started putting it on me. I tell you, to those two I remain ten years old. I also get to go for a ride in the hire car we have right now. Yesterday was a day of frustration about getting ours fixed, and while motabilty pays for a hire car we needed to find the money for a deposit ourselves. You know, one day something like that won't be a huge thing to sort out. That'll be a good day.

I've barricaded myself in the bedroom with my tablet PC and a compact flash card stuffed with historical romance novels. I generally find romance novels irritating, but I'm in the mood to tolerate character stupidity.

At least until the point where I realise the entire plot hangs on the fact that two people who are supposed to love each other never talk about anything important, and if they had, the novel would only be 25 pages long.

BTW, the dog woke us up at 5am, and whined loudly until UG got up and took her for a walk. I've been fantasising about a big bowl of chocolate and anti-freeze...

There's very little new TV around, so I'm going back and finding shows that aired last season that I didn't get around to watching, or was too distracted by shiny things like Leverage and Dollhouse to notice. Unfortunately, I seem to have mostly found stuff that makes me go 'meh'. F'rexample - Sanctuary. I got halfway though the second episode and put it on pause to make a cup of coffee. Three days ago. I finally got around to shutting down BS Player ten minutes ago because I realised the BSP icon at the bottom of the screen was reminding me of a chore I had to complete.

So tell me, f-list, what should I be watching? What should I go back and watch? What have I missed?

It's been a busy few days. It was the MiLs 60th birthday which meant one day trying to find her a gift, which was hard to do. Then on a different day a gathering at her house, plus other stuff that's kept me working away.

I was very happy with Friday's Big Brother eviction. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Lisa is nominated this week because she's seriously doing my head in.

Other stuff. Mikey keeps mentioning Reading and Leeds. I'm dubious if MCR would be announced as playing this late, but apparently there are gaps in the program so who knows? If they don't I just chose to believe he's coming over to watch Pete FOB play.

Jon posted this picture, and I haven't been able to tab away. How so gorgeous, Jon?

A Bob/Gerard notfic sprang to life in my journal a few posts back. I've been peering at my cliche_bingo card and think I could make it fit as the secrets and lies prompt. Unfortunately that square isn't on a line that's calling to me. I suspect I'll give it a go, it'll be a change from what I've been writing lately. Though what I should do is get back to my rpf_big_bang story, because eeep at the approaching deadline. I don't know if I ever said on here but I'm writing the final story in the Tints verse for that. It's lovely to be back playing in that universe but it does get heavy going at times.
